He has research and teaching experience of more than 10 years. Prior to teaching at IIT Kanpur, he got his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and worked for 5 years as an R&D engineer with SAP. His research interests are in programming languages like Python and in software development. Dr. Amey has received the Best Faculty of the Year Award in the category “Innovative Application of Technology Tools in Teaching/Learning” by the Computer Society of India’s Mumbai Chapter. He has over 37 publications in international journals to his name.
